7th & 8th Grade Parents of Choir Members
Sardis Middle Singers had a very successful year last year, but it’s not time to sit back on our laurels and bask in the glow of our success. It’s time to step it up another level. I’m talking about uniforms. There are many opportunities that that I’ve had to pass up because our choir hasn’t had a formal uniform. I have students that would like to try out for All-State and I would like for our choir to be adjudicated at the State Choral Performance Assessment. These are events that we cannot be a part of if we do not have uniforms. I understand the difficulties involved in paying for all the activities that students are involved in, having my own 13 year old in band and choir, so I’ve tried to keep the cost to a minimum. Please email me at Shannon_waits@ecboe.org if you forsee any problems with this. I do not want this to cause any student to choose not to be in choir.
We have chosen a full length black dress with bell sleeves made of crepe-backed satin for the girls and a four piece ensemble for the boys including black pants, white tuxedo shirt, black satin vest, and bow tie.
The cost for either a boy or girl is $53.00
*Students will be measured at school for their uniform by Mrs. Waits.
*Parents will be responsible for having dresses hemmed to the correct length.
*A Payment of $53.00 for uniforms will be due by Monday, October 4th.
